Meet Our Eurasia Regional Director
Eugene Postolache
Basketball has been part of Eugene’s story for most of his life.
As a teenager in Moldova, he attended basketball camps led by Christian coaches from San Antonio. They came carrying basketballs, but they brought something far more important: the Gospel and a willingness to invest their lives in young people. Eugene was one of them.
At nineteen, Eugene trusted Jesus and soon began using the game he loved as a doorway into the lives of others.

Since 2015, Eugene has been part of Disciple Daily, growing through years of discipleship and mentoring with Arlie Francis and Keith Myer while helping shape DD’s disciple-making work throughout Eurasia.
Today, Eugene leads Disciple Daily in Eurasia from Chișinău, Moldova, alongside his wife, Nonna, and a growing team of young leaders.

Basketball opened the door for someone to invest in Eugene.
Now Eugene and his team are doing the same for another generation.
They use the game to build relationships with young people, earn trust, and create opportunities to open God’s Word together.

Youth Discipleship Ministry in Moldova
What if a basketball court could become a place where young people learn to follow Jesus—and then help others follow Him?
The Twelve is Disciple Daily’s primary youth discipleship initiative in Moldova, led by Eugene and his team.
We use basketball to enter the places young people already gather—schools, gyms, sports clubs, and neighborhoods. Through those relationships, young people are invited into something deeper: life-on-life discipleship centered on Jesus and His Word.
We play to build relationships.
We build relationships to make disciples.
We make disciples who make disciples.

This Is What Multiplication Looks Like
Today, five young men who were once Eugene’s players and disciples are serving alongside him as leaders.
They were reached.

That is the heart of Disciple Daily—and it is happening right now in Moldova.
The next generation is not simply being gathered around a basketball program. They are being equipped to carry the life of Jesus into their families, churches, schools, and communities.
