The Story of God
12 Foundation Bible Stories
Many view the Bible as a collection of isolated moral fables rather than one cohesive epic. The Stories of God is a 12-part oral storytelling curriculum designed to bridge this gap, tracing the grand, redemptive timeline of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation.
What is The Stories of God?
This series distills biblical history into twelve vital, interconnected oral accounts rooted directly in God’s explicit covenants. To build structural clarity, groups must learn these narratives sequentially, one single story at a time:
By mastering each of these stories in chronologic order, storytellers absorb a functional systematic theology organically, one story at a time without attending seminary.
What is The Stories of God?
This series distills biblical history into twelve vital, interconnected oral accounts rooted directly in God’s explicit covenants. To build structural clarity, groups must learn these narratives sequentially, one single story at a time:
- Stories 1 - 4: Creation, Adam & Eve, the Fall, Noah and Nations
- Stories 5 - 7: Abraham, Moses, David
- Story 8 - 11: Hinge of History, Jesus, Birth of the Church, Your Story
- Story 12: Things to Come
By mastering each of these stories in chronologic order, storytellers absorb a functional systematic theology organically, one story at a time without attending seminary.
Why is This Series Important?
- Builds Line-Upon-Line Literacy: Mastering one story at a time ensures individuals understand the chronological flow of biblical history rather than pulling random proof-texts out of context.
- Honors its Hebrew Soil: The New Testament is rooted in the covenantal assumptions of the Old Testament. This step-by-step approach prevents us from twisting a grand cosmic narrative into a self-centered self-help book.
- Dismantles the Pastoral Bottleneck: By replacing complex academic barriers required of the professionals with disciplined oral Bible storytelling, everyday believers are empowered to lead deep Bible conversations around their own kitchen tables.
