This lesson introduces one of the most beloved messages of Messiah Jesus, the Sermon on the Mount. Contrary to popular belief, the Sermon on the Mount is not the manifesto of the Christian life, the constitution of the Church Jesus is building. Rather, it was a decaration of war between the living Word of God (Jesus) and those who held the written Word hostage through the Traditions of Men, the Oral Law of the Rabbinic Judaism. The Beatitudes were Jesus first shot in that war.
