"Come & See." - Jesus
Disciple Daily trains Jesus' followers to join Him as distributors of His Good News. The 2023-2024 Fellowship Team has trained for this lifetime adventure since they arrived at our Lone Oak Discipleship Center on September 5th, 2023. Imagine the surprise when, eleven days later, Keyshawn, Emma, Jauhmar, Syndey, and César landed on Maui. One never knows where Jesus will take him/her when He offers the invitation to "come and see."
where Jesus Led this year
June 2023: Working with partners in southern Zambia, Arlie taught the Old Testament to eighteen rural bush pastors using Talk Thru the Old Testament. Each pastor left the training with a year's worth of sermon and training material for their congregation. For many, this was the only formal Bible training they had ever received.
July 2023: In partnership with Shepherds Support, Arlie and Noemi participated in a ministry couples marriage retreat in northern Zambia. Thirty couples around Lake Tanganyika were gifted with a week-long retreat and conference designed to strengthen their marriages, family, and ministry.
September 2023: The Fellowship Team, along with Keith and Arlie, served alongside other ministries on Maui, providing relief services and comfort to islanders who lost everything during the July hurricane and fires. Our team's hands and feet were Jesus' hands and feet. When the opportunity presented itself, they were ready to speak His words to those ready to listen.
October 2023, Spiritual & Physical War: As part of our Bible training, we plan to take our teams to Israel to root the biblical knowledge they acquire in the land of the Bible. On October 7th, Hamas brutally attacked Israeli communities adjacent to the Gaza Strip. Over 2,000 Israelis were slaughtered that Saturday morning. Since then, war has raged in the area. A decision was made to postpone/cancel this trip.
November 2023: Keith has had a long-term relationship with a previous disciple in Oaxaca, Mexico. He is a church planter and a DMM (Disciple Making Movement) catalyzer. Along with Andrii Petrenko, Keith took the team to serve alongside this pastor and his team.
May 2024: Following seven months of war in southern and northern Israel, we decided to take the Fellowship Team to see for themselves what was happening. This was a mission tour. While visiting some of the sites on our normal tours, we distributed almost 300 handwritten notes of encouragement and support to both the Jews and Arabs we met. As you might imagine, news of reflex reactions to the war on American colleges and universities has been seen by Israelis. Repeatedly, we heard, "Thank you for coming to see what is happening here." This trip would not have been possible without the help and support of Sar El Tours and the Jerusalem Assembly. Good News was shared everywhere. Our Light was not hidden!

WHAT'S NEXT? SUMMER SERVE!
Everything the Fellowship Team learns throughout the year comes together during Summer Serve. From June 17 to July 2, they will be based in Chisinau, Moldova, serving with the Admirals Basketball Academy. July 3- August 1, the team will be in Cairo, Egypt, running four sessions at Camp Wadi.
