Eugene's Story
Eugene Postolache is a disciple of Jesus, living in Chisinau, Moldova. As a teenager, Eugene played basketball and participated in several summer basketball camps. The basketball camps were conducted by two men from San Antonio, Texas, who traveled every year to Moldova. Because of what God did through Coach Salas and Coach Currie, Eugene answered God's call to be a missionary shortly after accepting Jesus' offer of eternal life when he was 19 years old. Serving his community through his local church, Eugene used basketball to reach out to the youth of Ungheni, his hometown, for five years.
Moving to Chisinau, Eugene labored alongside Nick Morari as a full-time staff member of the Admiral's Basketball Academy. Through Nick, we met Eugene in 2015 in Turkey, where he was participating in a conference of Eurasian sport ministry leaders, strategizing how to initiate disciple-making movements in the region. Shortly afterwards, Eugene began training with us to use the story of the Bible as his primary disciple-making strategy at home, on the basketball court, and across Eurasia.
Nonna is Eugene's wife. They have three lovely children: David, Samuel, and Sarra.
Eugene is now a part of Disciple Daily's family, operating as our Eurasian Regional Director.
A Note From Eugene
It is time for me to take a step into a new season of ministry. My heart still burns with the desire to raise disciples and elevate leaders in Christ. However, my vision is now broader. I am also called to 'hold the ladder' for other leaders, so that together we can:

- See God transform Moldova through the powerful tool of the sports ministry.
- Reach public schools and sports clubs, ensuring that each one is impacted by teams of believers who share the Gospel and bring hope to their communities.
- Raise a new generation of leaders—young men and women with strong faith, who will serve across Moldova and be sent to other nations, including those with Muslim backgrounds.
