Forgotten Fire, Part 3

Author - Arlie Francis

In this final post on our journey through the "Forgotten Fire," let me implore you. Do not look away from the ashes of the past. Listen closely to whispers of forgotten horrors, echoes of crying through the ages. Mankind stands atop a cataclysmic cauldron, teetering on the edge of global destruction. The Forgotten Fire is coming. This post is an urgent call to action, a plea - to remember, learn, and inform others what lies ahead.

Antisemitism is a dark specter that continues to haunt the corridors of human history. This disgusting phenomenon is a deep-seated prejudice against Jews - a hatred older than time. It is a nightmarish echo reverberating through generations, a poisonous doctrine that is etched in human thought, tainting minds and fueling destruction and despair. The face of antisemitism is multi-faceted, reflecting cultural, economic, and political biases and pervasive stereotypes. It is a monstrous chimera, roiling and writhing in the shadows of ignorance and intolerance. We must confront it, expose it, and tear it asunder.

At the close of World War II,  the world said, "Never Again." Yet, it is happening again. In insidious ways it seeps into our everyday lives right here in America. From hate speech to violent acts of terror, from discrimination to political manipulation - antisemitism still thrives and poisons our existence.

At its core, antisemitism is demonic. Let me be clear. The forgotten fire of Satan's war against God is once again erupting in an attempt to destroy everything and everyone. It begins with mindless groupthink chants. Can you hear it? "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free." Since World War II, the horrors of Hitler's Satanic effort to rid the world of Jewish people have morphed, taking on a new appearance. Antisemitism has a new hero living in Gaza. In the Middle East and around the world, Muslim hate is being normalized in our schools, government, and even our churches. How did this happen?

Oliver Melnick of Chosen People Ministries has identified ten successive strategies that Satan is employing to escalate antisemitism globally as he attacks God's plan for all of history. They are:
  • societal apathy,
  • limited education in schools and churches concerning history,
  • biased news reporting,
  • desensitization of brutality,
  • no accountability for perpetrators of hate crimes,
  • empowerment of Jewish oppressors,
  • demonization of the Jewish defenders,
  • open terrorism against Jews and their defenders,
  • encouragement to kill Jewish people everywhere,
  • the systematic mass murder of Jews.

How, then, shall we live? Amid the growing storm of antisemitism, Jesus has already told His children what to do. "Go, make disciples of all nations." Disciple Daily is committed to cultivating a new generation of disciples, individuals entrenched not in hate but in love and understanding anchored on the Word of God. We are not mere bystanders in this war against evil but active defenders, wielding the sword of truth - the Bible - one story at a time.

Enjoining the war against antisemitism is not a journey for the faint-hearted. It demands dedication, courage, relentless pursuit of truth and wisdom, and a hunger for righteousness. Our objective is not to make individual disciples but to kindle in them a revolution within to make disciples who make more disciples.

As part of our year-long training of  The Fellowship team, Disciple Daily is hosting a one-day training event on antisemitism. The teacher that day will be Olivier Melnick, identified above.

The event will be held at the Fellowship House at 2050 Lone Oak, New Braunfels, Texas 78132, on Saturday, December 9th, from 9:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. This is a free event, and lunch will be provided. There will be an offering taken. We have plenty of room for all who want to attend, but an RSVP is required.

Please make plans to join us today!
